Faith It Til You Make It
Faith it to you make it - @jennakutcher
Hey friends. It's been a while! I have to say I can not escape my love for writing. If you're wondering where I've been, I recently started a YouTube Channel where I discuss Faith, Motherhood, & Vlog about my life. I thought that I would just stick to that and maybe stop writing, but here I am, back to my first love!
So, lets get right to it! I think that we can all agree that there is a misunderstanding that happens when people only know you from social media, or in passing, and not on a deep level. You can assume that someone thinks that they're "perfect" or "faking it to they make it" from their photos, and post. I have actually had people indirectly and directly make comments to me about thinking I am perfect (clearly judging my social media account.)
I can't speak for every Christian, but I can say 100% for myself I am not perfect, nor do I ever want to be seen as so. I came across this quote, and then it all made sense to me. I instantly realized why people assume that I am faking it til I make it, or pretending to be perfect.
You see, I spent too many years of my life letting my situation control my emotions. I wasted a lot of time being negative, or simply focusing on the negative. It wasn't until I put my complete faith in God that I became this positive person.
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.
- Isaiah 40:31 NLT
To the world this mindset can come off as disingenuous. How can she still be smiling? Why is she always so happy? Does she not struggle? Does she not have bad days?
Yes, yes, and yes! I do struggle, I do have bad days, my husband and I have days where we work each others nerves. BUT I choose to FAITH it til I make it. I know that putting my trust and faith in God through every trial and tribulation will leave me soaring high on wings like eagles!
So dear friends, I encourage you to Faith It Til You Make It in EVERY situation. Even if others don't understand your joy, think of it as an opportunity to allow your life to testify to the fact that with God things are so much better!
