The Most Stressful Time of the Year?
Happy Monday! Can you believe we are in December already?
And it just so happens to be the most wonderful time of the year — but if you’e anything like me, this can be the most stressful time of the year for several reasons.
annual reports due at work
finals due at school
Christmas presents to buy for family and friends
Dinner with relatives and in laws
Reflecting on goals that were not met
I mean the list goes on and on. It is so easy to allow stress to blur the true meaning ofChristmas.
Jesus was born, in a manger. He came offering peace, love, joy, and forgiveness to the world. He didn’t just come to represent peace, love, joy and forgiveness, but He offers it to us 24/7 (yes even NOW!)
It is so important that we do not allow the hustle and bustle of life to take away from the very thing that Christmas represents. I want to encourage you to take a minute to inhale God’s peace, love, joy, and forgiveness, and exhale stress, anxiety, and bad feelings that can come up for you during this season.
And let’s take it a step further and extend the same peace, joy, love and forgiveness that is so freely given to us, to others. We have the answers and can still get caught up in our own emotions so image those who don’t know Jesus! Lets allow the peace that we experience to speak volumes to those around us so much so that they can’t help but want what we have!
REST IN THE PEACE THAT HE SO FREELY MADE AVAILABLE TO US.
HE is the reason for the SEASON!
